Can I get divorced without an attorney?

The simple answer is yes, of course. Should you- No. I am not a mechanic but I’m intelligent. I could probably do an oil change on my car by reading an instruction manual. But I wouldn’t trust my car to someone who is not an expert, even if it’s me. Why would you trust your life, the life of your children to someone who doesn’t know the law. Pro se (unrepresented parties) are not familiar with the requirements and formalities necessary to ensure their rights. Do not go it alone.  At least take the time to consult an attorney who can advise you of your rights before you make a huge mistake.
